Exeter Ridge Corporate Center will be renamed Exeter Ridge Health Complex; centralized services will offer more access, convenience
Reading, PA, August 25, 2015 – Penn State Health St. Joseph will relocate the outpatient services it currently offers in Shelbourne Square, Exeter Township and the physician and outpatient services it offers on Prospect Street in St. Lawrence into the Exeter Ridge Corporate Center at Neversink Road and Perkiomen Avenue by early 2016.
They will be joined at the new location by Exeter Healthways, an independent multi-physician practice of Integrated Medical Group (IMG) PC, currently located at 3909 Perkiomen Avenue in Exeter Township.
The facility, which will be re-named the Exeter Ridge Health Complex, will offer more access and user-friendly outpatient services in one location for Penn State Health St. Joseph’s growing patient base in that section of Berks County.
The 33,000 square-foot Health Complex will include family practice physicians, A medical fitness program, to include maintenance cardiac and pulmonary rehab, and physical therapy and sports medicine. It also will offer lab, X-ray, digital mammography, with plans for additional imaging modalities in the near future. Penn State Health St. Joseph will be the majority tenant in the building.
Penn State Health St. Joseph will relocate its medical group practice, St. Lawrence Medical Group, about 1.5 miles to the new and architecturally updated health facility. Services and staff at Shelbourne also will relocate from the Shelbourne Square Shopping Plaza roughly 1.5 miles away. The St. Lawrence physicians that will relocate to the Exeter Ridge Health Complex include: Dr. Beverly Niehls, Dr. Robin Savar, Dr. Hridayesh Nat, Dr. Vijay Singh and physician’s assistant Katelyn Willis.
The Exeter Ridge Health Complex will offer ample parking, more modern and larger facilities and space for expansion.
“We have a strong presence in the Mt. Penn/Exeter/St. Lawrence area but are somewhat hampered by the limitations of our current locations,” noted Mary Hahn, Penn State Health St. Joseph Vice President of Strategy and Business Development. “This new location provides us with an ideal site to grow our physician practices and welcome new patients and will increase collaboration among our services. In addition to enhancing the efficiencies in our practices, our patients and customers, particularly those in our health fitness services, will find that having comprehensive services in one place will make it user-friendly.”
IMGPC President, Dr. Robert Hippert, said that “the providers and staff of Exeter Healthways look forward to providing comprehensive patient care with all the modalities available in one location.”
Additionally, Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Group was also recently appointed as the physician group for the 4400 student Exeter Township School District.
The Exeter Ridge Health Complex announcement also follows on the heels of Penn State Health St. Joseph’s recent announcement on the opening of a new primary care physician practice and outpatient location in Muhlenberg Township under the direction of Dr. David Clymer. New patients are being accepted there
